Decarb Technologies Corp. and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding to advance next-generation carbon capture and utilization technologies.
The agreement was formalized during the Second Annual International Net Zero Workshop in Houston, where leaders from both organizations outlined plans to pair Decarb’s emerging capture system with U. of I.’s research strengths, including pilot-scale CO₂ testing at the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center (ISTC).
Through the MoU, ISTC and Decarb Technologies will explore joint research, pilot validation, and pathways to scale new CCU approaches from the lab to real-world industrial use.
